Dear NeuroImprove Team,
I want to express my gratitude for the excellent work you have been doing with my little Rodrigo, a super loving boy full of ideas but with less well-behaved attention, which resulted in some punishments at school and misunderstanding from the teacher and even from his classmates.
Since he started the treatments/sessions, Rodrigo has greatly improved his behavior. He now lets us read a story from beginning to end without interrupting 50 times, he draws more beautiful pictures, handles frustration better, and channels his creativity much better.
For him, the sessions are a fun time, and he loves watching the movies you show him.
I highly recommend this treatment. We are not perfect, nor do we want to be, but we want to feel integrated into the groups we belong to, and nowadays, Rodrigo feels more integrated and, most importantly, happier!
Thank you. Thank you very much.

We want to express our gratitude to the NeuroImprove team, which is pioneering a change in the methods of addressing neurological disorders, sometimes providing an alternative to the easier method of medication.
In our case, with Daniel, we began the teamwork - parents and NeuroImprove - with speech therapy and daily activities, aiming to improve behavior, control anxiety and impulsivity, and most importantly, address the most concerning issue for us as parents: language development, which was initially scarce and unclear.
Throughout this process, significant progress has occurred, with clearer and more understandable language emerging, albeit with ongoing difficulties. Additionally, some behaviors have changed, such as improved concentration time in activities that were previously challenging, and better social interaction.
However, there are always external factors that disrupt the continuity of this progress - such as in the school environment - where other seemingly "normal" children sometimes exhibit worse behavior than a child with "disorders," breaking routines and setting bad examples that can be imitated by our children, who might perceive them as normal.
The collaborative efforts of all the involved teams have been crucial for us, parents, who rely on their help to achieve the most important goal - emotional, behavioral, and linguistic stabilization.
Thank you, on behalf of the parents.

My son Daniel is a teenager with comorbid hyperactivity and Asperger's syndrome. He came here six months ago to manage anxiety and improve concentration.
The process has been going well so far. We can see the results, which were not visible with previous psychological therapies. The results can be summarized as better anxiety management, improvement in interpersonal relationships and concentration.
I recommend this therapy to children and adolescents with similar issues and I thank the entire team, especially Dr. Marta Ramos, for their support and kindness.

It's been 4 months since Gonçalo Dinis (my son, then 12 years old) began treatment at "NeuroImprove" clinic. I came here because I learned from a friend of my son with the same type of disorder (Asperger's, hyperactivity with concentration deficit, dyslexia, dysgraphia, dysorthography, dyscalculia) who had therapy here successfully and even stopped taking medication.
Initially, I was afraid it wouldn't work. I discussed the matter with Gonçalo's psychologist and child psychiatrist, who immediately dismissed my concerns. I am a mother and will do everything in my power to help my son. Therefore, Gonçalo started therapy in early July.
Throughout the process, I thought Gonçalo wouldn't have good results. However, in the last month, after Dr. Shilan met with us to inform us that therapy was coming to an end, and there was nothing more to be done, I felt very sad. These were not the results I expected.
By the end of October, I realized that a lot had changed in Gonçalo. He no longer needs me to help him fall asleep at night, he started making more friends at school, the weekly crises that used to occur, forcing me to pick him up from school, haven't happened this school year, and most importantly, Gonçalo is very happy. He hasn't stopped taking medication yet, he's on a lower dose of Concentra(?), but if he doesn't take it, I don't feel as many problems, especially in terms of socialization.
The results of the first tests have started to come in, and they are very good.
I am confident that things will continue to improve from here.
Thank you to everyone.

We arrived at NeuroImprove at the end of February, which was when I became aware of the existence of this clinic and this treatment. We came from Nespereira, Oliveira de Frades (Viseu), and I left here feeling worse than when I arrived that day. Everything seemed very long and complicated to me, I thought our family budget wouldn't hold up, that there would be many trips, and everything seemed impossible to me.
But then I got home and calmly talked to everyone, and together we made the best decision to proceed with the treatment. But with fear, "will it be the best", "can we do it", worse, "is it worth it"?
There were many doubts, but it was very worth it, everything.
Joel, shortly after, stopped taking medication (which he didn't want) and gradually evolved. From a boy, he became a little man in such a short time.
Thank you very much to the whole team. And now I can say that it was worth it.
Thank you all very much.
