I'm the mother of a 9-year-old boy. At six years old, we noticed that Rodrigo was different. He had difficulty sitting still, was always fidgeting, had trouble finishing homework, getting dressed, and was often daydreaming, with sudden mood changes.
He attended psychology appointments for 2 years, but the improvements were minimal. We reached the diagnosis of 'Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).' He started taking medication to help with concentration.
Did it help? Yes, but only during the time it was effective; afterward, he was back to how he was before. Discrimination from classmates started, unintentionally, which led to low self-esteem, sadness, and playing alone because he was never chosen for games due to his inability to follow rules.
For us parents, it was a constant struggle without knowing what to do. After reading and researching a lot about the subject, I found NeuroImprove. Doubts, uncertainties, fear, but to improve our son's life, it was worth trying everything, and we're glad we did.
Rodrigo started Neurofeedback treatment on June 30, 2016, with 2 sessions per week during the holiday period, so he didn't take medication. After 15/20 sessions, we began to see the light at the end of the tunnel, yes, the NeuroImprove clinic was that light.
On September 14, he started school without medication and with noticeable improvements. It was a great happiness for us parents but also for him; he felt more confident and calmer.
On November 26, Rodrigo had completed 38 sessions, and we're in the final stretch of a nightmare. It might seem like a simple situation, but in daily life, it's not.

When it all began, it was very uncertain and doubtful. Will it work? There was a lot of anxiety to see Edgar improve. I, the mother of Sérgio Rafael, an eleven-year-old boy with hyperactivity, attention and concentration deficit, fine motor skills issues, and delayed maturity, fully believed in the Neurofeedback treatment and decided to give it a try in hopes of finding solutions to these problems.
The transition to elementary school was very complex, and now, in the 5th grade, we see a more mature, calm, confident, and attentive Sérgio. These improvements came after a lot of effort at home and at school, but fundamentally thanks to NeuroImprove, as it is an exceptional treatment with exceptional people who give their heart and soul to a treatment in which they fully trust. I know Sérgio perfectly well, and I noticed a significant improvement after these four and a half months of treatment at NeuroImprove.
I highly recommend this treatment to parents who have children with some limitations at home. At first, when we are informed of the cost of the treatment, we may think it is an exorbitant amount for a few sessions per month, but those same sessions make all the difference in the child's life for a future and happy life.

Today marks the end of another phase of trying to address some dilemmas in Rafael's life. He is an 11-year-old child with hyperactivity and Tourette syndrome. Despite achieving good academic results, he is a child with many complaints about his behavior at school and in his social environment. Neurofeedback was another path that emerged to address these problems, and although it did not completely resolve Rafael's Tourette syndrome (as it is a chronic condition), it did bring some improvements in terms of hyperactivity.
I am grateful to Dr. Shilan, Dr. Maria, Dr. César, and Dr. Filipa for all the work and patience they had with Rafael. I am certain that his future will always be brighter, in part thanks to this team.

I appreciate everything you taught us, the techniques, exercises, methods... Everything that completely changed our lives for the better; David became calmer, determined to finish his tasks, got Good grades in English, Mathematics, and Social Studies, "only" Satisfactory in Portuguese but that was still a victory (4th grade).
